Liquid Sugars
The Liquid Sugars, Inc. Education Enrichment Fund was established in 1981 by donors affiliated with Liquid Sugars, Inc. The proceeds are devoted to establishing, supporting and maintaining an annual program known as the Liquid Sugars, Inc. Educational Enrichment Program, in the Department of Agricultural Economics on the Davis campus of the University of California. The fund supports educational tours and visiting lecturers regarding California agriculture and agribusiness.
ARE 293 Analysis of California Agriculture and Resources is offered in winter quarter each year as the classroom component of the program of study that includes the activities supported by the Liquid Sugars, Inc. Education Enrichment Fund.
Professor Rachael Goodhue teaches ARE 293 and the activities supported by the Liquid Sugars, Inc. Education Enrichment Fund. California agriculture and resources are a focus of her research in agricultural marketing and organization, pesticide use and regulation, property rights and negotiations over natural resources, and contract theory.
